Sidewinder SidePiece
“When you need to carry the kitchen sink AIWB and remain discreet.”
The traditional AIWB pistol and magazine combination is a tried-and-true concealed carry platform. Yet, the Sidewinder SidePiece manages to take it a step further. It is the natural evolution to the appendix-carry system, boasting improvements to modularity, comfort, and concealment—all in one reliable package. Features include:
– Modular Design: Detachable magazine carrier that can be moved vertically or completely off the system, allowing the holster to be worn independently. Tailored for both right and left-handed individuals, the SidePiece utilizes a dual belt-loop design for additional security. It is compatible with many popular firearm and flashlight combinations.
– Comfort: Custom-fitted holster that does not sacrifice convenience for practicality. Adjustable ride-height and draw tension ensures a proper fit for any operator. Contoured shape that sits on the waist with ease without affecting mobility and comfort during prolonged use.
– Concealment: Streamlined profile that has been slimmed down with stealth in mind. ModWing mounted to enhance low visibility, keeping the holster minimal to unwanted attention. The SidePiece values reliability by preaching discretion.
Professionally hand-crafted, tuned, and tested. The Sidewinder SidePiece is available in a wide variety of colors and liners, providing customization where desired.
The choice for concealed carry has never been this easy. The SidePiece does not compromise on reliability and comfort, or modularity and concealment.
OTG – You rock!
I’m not sure what I’m more happy with, the holster or the incredible customer service!
I have a Staccato XL 2011 in 9mm, with an RMR optic, and a Surefire X400U–A–GN weapon light. Holsters for this pistol are difficult to find to begin with, but with that Surefire light? It was absolutely impossible.
After days of contacting various holster manufacturers, I had nearly given up. I was not happy that after waiting four months for my Staccato, they sent it to me without a holster… (They apparently have an agreement with Blackhawk, and I still don’t have the holster that was supposed to come with the pistol…)
I can’t believe how many people told me that I needed to just take off or change the Surefire for something else. If I had wanted a different weapon light, I would have ordered a different weapon light… SMH
It finally occurred to me that I ought to call Surefire, and see if they could help. I had two gentlemen in their wonderful customer service department working with me, and one of them came across Off the Grid Concepts!
I was absolutely thrilled that OTG could make my holster, and even MORE thrilled that they have expedited service for those of us that are TIRED OF WAITING… I chose the “ludicrous one day turnaround service”, and OTG absolutely did deliver on all their promises!
It was an especially nice touch when the USPS email notification came through that said my “magical unicorn dust” was on the way. Every part of the customer service experience was outstanding. They answer questions fast, and the answer is always yes.
My custom holster is for the staccato XL. I chose the color Kryptek Mandrake, Light/No Light option, black suede interior, hex cut, sweat guard, red dot cut, 0 cant, right handed.
I think I placed my order at 10 PM on a Wednesday night, they made it Thursday and shipped Friday overnight service. They were even nice enough to throw in both the 1.5 inch in the 1.75 inch sizes for my belts.
The holster is well constructed, tough, attractive, and surprisingly comfortable. And it fits my pistol absolutely perfectly. I wear it all day long, every day. I am a curvy woman, and the way it is shaped, combined with the angled belt loops pulls the pistol in tight to my body, better than any other holster I’ve had. This is great for those of us who choose to carry full size pistols every day.
I can’t speak highly enough of the holster and this company. I wish I could share pictures in this review. I am going to have their custom shop make some other holsters for me as well.
Thank you again, OTG!
I have 3: Sidewinder OWB holsters. G 33, G 43 and SW Shield 9. I bought them one at a time after trying the shield first, the 33 next and finally the 43. They are not inexpensive and i am glad i did buy them. They retain the pistols, are comfortable all day on a 1.25” reinforced gun belt and they are very fast. They are high riding and tight to the body enough to disappear under an untucked shirt. And finally, when i lost some hardware to my everyday holster, one email tomthe company brought be replacement hardware…no cost.
I have had an enormous issue in the past trying to find holsters for my USP that also allows for a light. The menu for customizing is extremely helpful, I mailed in my rail adapter to insure a better fit. The lead time is a little long, but ultimately the product was worth the wait. Any HK fan boys who want a well fitted holster with options, I typically suggest OTG. I own an OTG holster for both my USPC 9mm with a TLR1, and my USP 45 with an X300U.
